Dissatisfaction | Original Abstract Acrylic Painting 16"x20"

"Dissatisfaction," painted in 2023-2024, features acrylic paint on primed cotton canvas. This canvas measures 16" x 20", and is 0.75" deep. The piece is signed, stamped, dated, and titled on the back. It is shipped with a certificate of authenticity. It is best displayed with a frame.

This piece draws its name from the emotions surrounding the process of creating it. The final piece is actually the last of three to be painted on this canvas. The first layer is an abandoned bouquet of flowers in dark, dramatic colors. The middle layer is a bright stucco that shows through to the end piece. The final layer, which is what you see now, captures the circuitous path and frustrations of the creative process. There are dark bits seeping in, representing the self-doubt and dissatisfaction that creeps into the mind. There are also bright areas shining through, which represent the happy accidents that come out of failed efforts.

All original paintings are packed securely for shipping and have shipping insurance added. The cost of the added insurance and packing materials is included in the price of the piece.
